Our History | NUVIA

NUVIA was born in Quebec.

From an overly hot summer night and a simple idea.

NUVIA Founder

It started with frustration. July 2024. Montreal. 30 degrees at midnight, sticky humidity, and waking up in a sweat at 3 a.m. Again.

We had tried everything. The ceiling fan. "Breathable" cotton sheets. The $40 microfiber ones from Costco. Nothing really worked. The cotton trapped the heat. The microfiber was just plastic sticking to the skin.

Then we discovered bamboo. Not the decorative bamboo on Pinterest. Woven bamboo fiber. A material that wicks away moisture three times faster than cotton. That stays cool to the touch, even when the temperature rises. That is naturally hypoallergenic—perfect for sensitive skin and allergies.

Why NUVIA?

Because sleeping cool shouldn't be a luxury. Because Quebecers deserve sheets designed for their nights—not for California or Provence. Sheets that stand up to our humid summers and our winters of blasting the heat.

Every NUVIA set is tested before it is shipped. No anonymous dropshipping. No random quality. Just carefully woven, inspected bamboo sent from our warehouse in Quebec.

Our mission

To help you sleep one more night without waking up in a sweat. To feel good in your bed, summer and winter alike. And to do it with materials that respect your skin and the environment.

NUVIA is Quebec-style freshness.

"Sleeping cool is a right. Not an option."
